Doubled sutures are put on the contra lateral side of the curvature to straighten the penis. In advanced cases the fibrosed area is excised and closed or even replaced and covered by a piece of pre treated pericardium. The neurovascular bundle is replaced on the dorsum of the penis. The incision is closed.

In some complicated cases where the septum of the penis is fibrosed and hardened through deposition of calcium plaques, it is necessary to insert a penis prosthesis and manipulate the hard calcified plate accordingly. There is a new method that we now apply which does not cause any loss of the length of the penis. This is done through incising the indurated area at the penis curvature and covering it with bovine pericardium.
