Urine bag
It is the bag which collects urine from the catheter. It must be kept clean and must be disinfected particularly at the area connecting it to the catheter and the tape though which it is evacuated.
  1. keep the urine collection bag in a vertical position at the bed side,
  2. observe the colour and quantity of the urine daily,
  3. wash the draining tape with water and soap or a disinfectant solution after emptying it,
  4. change the bag if you observe turbidity or changes in the colour of the urine.
