Stone

Stones are miniral crystals which bild in the kidney, ureter or bladder. They are mostly made of calcium kombind with another substance like oxalate or urete. Some stones are made of uric acid. Stones bild when the urine is concentrated or when we have a narrow urinary tract or when we suffer a metabolic disease.

The risk factors for stone building:

  1. Ristricted fluid intake
  2. chronic infection
  3. maldevelopment of the urinary tract
  4. narrow area of the urinary tract
  5. metabolic disease (particularly by children)
  6. falls diet.

Whow to prtoct your self from urinary stones:

  1. please drink at least 2 liters of fluid per day. Water is the most suitabile fluid.
  2. Treat your chronic infections.
  3. If you suffer stone disease rationalise your calcium intake (milk prducts). Reduce your oxalate containing food (choklate, strawbarry, spinate). Reduce your consumption of red meat particularly when you have a tendency for formation of uric acid stones.
  4. Let your self be examind by the urologist if you have a narrow urinary tract to get rid of your stone if any.
  5. Keep in regular control for early detection and treatment of stone.

It is easy to treat a stone through its desintegration when the indication is correct. Stones could be removed by endoscopes.
