Born in Giza, Egypt, 29 October 1956, I have completed my first medical education at the Medical Faculty of the Alexandria University 1982.

I have completed residency training in general surgery and urology at the University Hospital of Alexandria until 1985.

My medical training and research was continued at many leading universities in Germany, including the Johannes-Gutenberg University in Mainz, Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main, Ruhr University in Bochum and the Friedrich-Schiller University in Jena.

The title “Doctor of Medicine” has been offered to me at the Johannes-Gutenberg-University in Mainz.

I have worked as consultant (Facharzt für Urologie) at different university hospitals since 1992.

Postgraduate studies on infertility of man, contraception of man, male sexual surgery, and incontinence at the University College of London, England, the Leicester General Hospital of Birmingham, England, under the supervision of the Department of Plastic Surgery of Mil Park Hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa and under the supervision of the Indian Institute of Technology and All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi , India.

My private practice in Berlin, Germany has been opened on Sept. 1996. Since then I am invited as an operating expert by different hospitals abroad.

Main Fields of Clinical Activity:
Diagnosis and therapy of erectile dysfunction (impotence), sexual plastic surgery including penile enhancement and scrotal enlargement, transsexual surgery (man to woman), implantation of penile prosthesis, microsurgical refertilisation of the man, photodynamic diagnostic for the early detection of bladder cancer and its therapy, laser surgery of the prostate und urological diseases, microsurgery urological tumours.

Main Fields of Research:
The treatment of urinary stones with ESWL and Q-switched Nd-YAG laser. Experimental microsurgery and immunological treatment of renal cell cancer. Development of penile enlargement. Development of reversible male contraception.

Publications:
40 international publications. He acted in 15 of which as the first author. and author in the book "Hand book of aesthetic surgery - Lemperle, Germany" and the book "the small penis - Sheplev, Russia".

Teaching Experience:
Practical and experimental microsurgical training in urology at the laboratory of microsurgery of the Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany and participation in the theoretical and operative postgraduate training programme as a demonstrator at the Department of Urology of the Friedrich-Schiller University, Jena. I have given lectures on urologic topics for many health authorities in Berlin and on different international congresses.
